TimeStock

Documentation

Your screen time, into stock.

TimeStock turns the hours you already spend inside apps into real, fractional tokenized shares of the public companies behind them. This is the complete guide.

Overview

You give Big Tech hours of attention every day and own none of it. TimeStock closes that loop. It reads the apps you use, maps each one to its public parent company, and lets you claim fractional tokenized stock of those companies on Robinhood Chain. Watch YouTube, earn GOOGL. Scroll Instagram, earn META. Netflix, NFLX.

Under the hood it is one primitive: a verifiable action, redeemed for tokenized equity. The action is measured attention; the reward is real stock; the token $TIME is required to make a claim.

Quick start

1. Connect a wallet on Robinhood Chain.
2. Hold or stake at least $5 of $TIME (this is the claim gate).
3. Screenshot your last 24 hours of screen time in GMT (iOS Screen Time or Android Digital Wellbeing).
4. Upload it. We read your top apps and hours.
5. Claim fractional tokenized stock of the companies behind those apps, straight to your wallet.

How it works

Step 1 — Submit your last 24 hours

Each submission covers your last 24 hours, measured in GMT — one submission per GMT day.

iOS: Settings › Screen Time › See All Activity › Day, then capture the reports covering the last 24 hours in GMT.
Android: Settings › Digital Wellbeing › capture the reports covering the last 24 hours in GMT.
Mac: System Settings › Screen Time, then screenshot it (same as iOS).

Windows, desktop & smart TV have no clean native screen-time report, so there you don't screenshot — you connect the account directly. Usage on those devices already lives in the platform account (Netflix on a TV counts in your Netflix account), so we read it via read-only OAuth or a zero-knowledge proof. Mobile and Mac use screenshots; everything else uses the account path.

Step 2 — We map apps to companies

We read the app names and hours, then map each app to the public parent company whose tokenized stock trades on Robinhood Chain. Apps without a supported stock mapping do not earn (see below). The NVDA entry is a compute proxy for the listed AI apps.

Step 3 — Claim tokenized stock

Your attention is valued, split across your apps by hours, and paid in each app's tokenized stock from a non-custodial vault, straight to your wallet. You always custody your own rewards.

App coverage

Coverage grows as more tokenized stocks list on Robinhood Chain. Current mapping:

What doesn't earn

The current coverage list excludes TikTok, X, Discord, Spotify, LinkedIn, Telegram, Pinterest and Twitch. Time in these apps is shown but does not earn. A public listing or a public parent company does not automatically make an app eligible for rewards.

How rewards are calculated

Time is valued, then converted into stock:

attention_value = hours × attention_rate
reward(stock) = attention_value × (hours_in_app / total_hours)
StepWhat happens
ValueYour total eligible hours are valued at an hourly attention rate — roughly what the app monetizes from an hour of attention.
SplitThat value is divided across your apps in proportion to the hours you spent in each, and paid in each app's stock.
GateYou must clear the $5 of $TIME hold/stake gate to claim anything.
CapYour monthly payout is capped at your claim capacity (see below). Value above the cap does not pay.

Caps & limits

Per-app daily cap. Hours counted per app are capped per day (a day is only 24 hours; extreme single-app time is clamped).
Monthly capacity. Total claimable per month is capped at your capacity, which scales with your $TIME position.
Gate. Below $5 of held or staked $TIME, nothing is claimable.
One account per person. Sybil and duplicate submissions are filtered.

Caps exist so that even if a screenshot is faked, the worst-case loss is bounded — never unlimited.

The $TIME token

$TIME is the native token of TimeStock. Fixed supply: 1,000,000,000. Its single job is to gate and scale claims — it is the key that turns earned screen time into a payout.

Hold, stake & the gate

To claim, hold or stake $TIME. You choose your level of commitment:

Hold

Keep $TIME in your wallet. No lock, fully liquid. Counts toward your claim power. This is the accessible on-ramp.

Stake (locked)

Lock $TIME to reduce sell pressure. Counts toward your claim power — the same dollars provide more capacity because you committed them.

power = hold_value + stake_value × 2

Gate: your combined held and staked position must be worth at least $5 of $TIME to claim anything, before applying the staking multiplier. Example: $10 held + $10 staked gives power of $10 + $20 = $30 — the same claim power as holding $30, from a $20 position.

Claim capacity

Your monthly claim capacity — the ceiling on what you can claim in a month — scales with your power. More power, more capacity. Screen-time value above your capacity simply does not pay that month, so your position should reflect how much you expect to earn.

Power is a capacity multiplier, not a dollar payout. Staking doubles your position's contribution to capacity, not your rewards themselves.

Claiming rewards

Claims are non-custodial. The vault holds pre-funded tokenized stock and pays out only against a cryptographically signed voucher tied to your wallet. The operator cannot move the backing — stock leaves the vault only to a valid claimant.

  1. Your submission is verified and a reward is computed.
  2. A signed voucher (wallet, stock, amount) is issued.
  3. You claim; the vault transfers the tokenized stock to your wallet.

Verification tiers

Screenshots are the easy on-ramp, but an image can be edited — so trust scales with reward size:

Tier 1 — Screenshot

Upload your Screen Time / Digital Wellbeing screenshot. Fast, but bounded by caps and hardened by duplicate and template checks. Good for everyday claims.

Tier 2 — Source-verified

For larger claims, usage is read straight from the platform account — read-only OAuth (YouTube/Google) or a zero-knowledge proof for closed platforms — disclosing only that the app was used.

Anti-abuse

Privacy

We read only the apps and hours you submit, to compute a reward. We do not sell your data. Source-verified paths use zero-knowledge or read-only access and reveal only the single fact needed — that you used the app — nothing about the content.

Security

Risk & jurisdiction

Tokenized stocks and $TIME carry market risk and can lose value. TimeStock is a product, not financial advice or an offer of securities. Availability of tokenized equities may be restricted in some jurisdictions. Participate only with what you can afford to lose. Reward figures in these docs are estimates.

FAQ

Do I need to install an app?You submit a screenshot from your phone's built-in Screen Time (iOS) or Digital Wellbeing (Android). No third-party tracking app is required.
How often can I submit?Once per GMT day, covering your last 24 hours.
Why do I need $TIME to claim?$TIME is the gate that aligns users with owners and funds the reward loop. Holding or staking at least $5 of $TIME makes you eligible; your power sets your capacity.
Is holding or staking better?Holding is liquid and accessible. Staking locks your tokens but counts double toward capacity — better if you plan to earn more.
What if my screen time is mostly TikTok or X?Those apps are outside the supported coverage list, so that time does not earn. Eligible time in supported apps such as YouTube, Instagram and Netflix can earn rewards.
Can I fake a screenshot?Only genuine usage is eligible. Caps limit payouts, duplicate and template checks flag altered images, and larger claims require source verification.
Do I actually own the stock? You receive fractional tokenized shares on Robinhood Chain in your own wallet, backed by a non-custodial vault.
What happens to value above my capacity? It does not pay that month. Increase your $TIME position to raise capacity.
